What is it?: An annual charity softball tournament held for the benefit of several charities, most of which are local or Georgia based and sometimes includes families in the local softball community.

Where is it?: Metro Atlanta Softball complex on the west side of Atlanta. As one of the sponsors, the operators of this complex donate the park (in each of the six years), the parking fee, the lights and their time for free. No park or Complex does more for the teams/players than Metro!

When is it?: Annually, usually the first Saturday in November.

History: The Home Runs for Hero's started after the 9/11 tragedy and the first year benefited the HERO's of the year, the NYPD and the FDNY. The following years focused more on charities closer to home like the Georgia Burn Foundation, Atlanta Red Cross, and many others. BUT some of the most important recipients are the local softball families that experience personal tragedies.

Metro Atlanta Softball Complex donates the park too!
