   Georgia Rules and By-laws  

  1. All men’s teams MUST have their roster on line at www.USSSA.com with each players CORRECT full first and last names and correct birth date listed, no later than August 1st 2008. Rosters turned in at the park need to have the same information and have to have the manager’s HOME number.
  1. NO higher classed players allowed in 2008. Teams can not have any higher classed players on their roster. Unless team is playing up in class.
  1. When a team is protested because of a higher classed player or players and the protest is upheld, the team and every player on their roster are moved up to the class of the highest class of the player/s protested.
  1. When a team is protested because of a higher classed player or players and the protest is upheld the higher classed player or players are SUSPENDED from Ga. USSSA with NO APPEAL UNTIL OCTOBER 1, 2008.
  1. Any player (Male or Female) whose name appears on a suspended roster because of a/the team/player owes money to any USSSA Director, USSSA National Office or Park or Complex as a result of a USSSA Sanctioned event, no show, and bad check, returned check, stops payment on a check, left tournament owing all are park of entrance fee or any other legitimate reason can be protested. If a player is caught by the director, umpire or protested by another team for being on the suspended list, he or the team that that he is playing on Must pay the full suspension fee immediately for the team to stay in the tournament. The player is ejected form the game even after fees are paid as he was in the game illegally, He can rejoin the team, legally at the start of the following game. If player or team neither will pay fees due, both player and team are ejected from tournament with NO refund; all teams remaining games in tournament are forfeited. It is the team, the manager, the coach and all players’ responsibility to know if a player is on a roster that owes money. Not having knowledge of a player or team owing money does not relieve a team or player of the penalty of this rule.
  1. Teams MUST turn in a roster in every USSSA sanctioned Tournament in Georgia before play starts. All players MUST PRINT first and last (legal) name on the team’s roster. State Director or his appointed delegate may visit any USSSA sanctioned Tournament in Georgia and inspect team rosters.
  1. If a players name in not legible the player may be ejected from the game or tournament. Player may also be asked for Identification. Player must have picture I.D. NO  I.D.=FORFEIT
  1. Managers MAY protest a suspected altered bat. Bats can be inspected at any time by the umpire or Director. See Rule 4, Section 11, a, 6, page 31 & 32 of the 2008 USSSA Rule Book.  
  1. Georgia USSSA Slow Pitch State Director requests that every Men’s Open Tournament Director use the USSSA ELITE ball.  The ELITE ball MUST be used in the Peach State Showdown and all Men’s State Series and State Finals.  Be prepared to use the new USSSA CLASSIC M BALL max .40cor. max 325 comp coming out January 1, 2009.
